Suspended UP Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rishikant Shukla, once celebrated as an encounter specialist, allegedly used the fear of police encounters to extort property, an investigation has reportedly revealed. His used encounter record helped him secure out-of-turn promotions, Hindustan Times reported. Assets worth at least ₹100 crore directly linked to Shukla have been traced so far.
