Dutch Economic Affairs Ministry announced its "exceptional" move of taking over chipmaker Nexperia due to concerns regarding possible transfer of crucial technology to its Chinese parent Wingtech. This allows the government to reverse or block management decisions it deems harmful, while Nexperia's regular production may continue. Nexperia is one of the world's largest makers of computer chips.
