Females who go through puberty before 11 or women who give birth before 21 have double the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, heart failure and obesity, according to study published in eLife.
Researchers found that these females have four times risk of developing severe metabolic disorders. Later puberty and childbirth are genetically associated with longer lifespan, the study found.
