A study done by Cambridge University researchers unearthed fossils of ancient animals from over 500 million years ago in Grand Canyon. The fossilised remains are early molluscs, spiky-toothed worms and filter-feeding crustaceans- most of which were preserved. Scientists dissolved mudstone samples in acid, filtered sample, and then brought out ancient remnants under high-powered microscopes.
