A new study, led by a Wageningen University researcher, has found that eating sugar doesn't increase cravings for it. Researchers put 180 participants on diets either high or low in sweet foods, and after six months, their desire for sweetness remained unchanged. Additionally, no effects were observed on body weight and biomarkers for diabetes and cardiovascular disease, the study stated.
