The Election Commission has initiated the process to elect the new Vice President under Article 324 of the Constitution, following Jagdeep Dhankhar's resignation on Monday. The preparations preceding the announcement of the election schedule include preparing the electoral college, finalising the returning officer, and disseminating background material on all previous vice-presidential elections.
