The Election Commission has issued the notification for the election to the post of the Vice President of India. This has kick-started the nomination process, with the last date for filing nominations set for August 21. The last date to withdraw nominations is August 25. The Electoral College, comprising Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members, will vote on September 9.
