A 70-year-old man attempted self-immolation outside Mumbai’s Mantralaya on Tuesday over constant noise from cashew polishing factories near his home. The man was rescued by security personnel, who later handed him over to police. Reportedly, the elderly resident was under severe depression due to constant noise and made multiple complaints to local authorities but no action was taken.
