The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Saturday announced that Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AEROs) will be given an honorarium of ₹30,000 and ₹25000 respectively for the first time. The announcement comes ahead of the upcoming Bihar Elections, scheduled later this year. ECI has also increased remuneration of BLOs and BLO Supervisors.
