Election Commission of India (ECI) is holding a conference of all state Chief Electoral Officers to discuss preparedness for nationwide Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, reports said on Saturday. The conference will be held on September 10, while the pan-India SIR is likely to commence in 2026, reports said. Notably, Bihar SIR had sparked a huge political row.
