BSP chief Mayawati said her party’s good days would return if elections were held through ballot papers instead of electronic voting machines (EVMs). She alleged that EVMs were being manipulated to prevent BSP candidates from winning and to break the trust of Dalit voters in the party. She said that ballot elections might not be possible under the current government.
