Narendra Shukla, resident of Uttar Pradesh, filed a complaint that his elephant, Jayamati, was stolen while being transported from Jharkhand to UP. The elephant was found with a new owner in Bihar's Chhapra. The police revealed that Shukla, along with three others, bought it for ₹40 lakh and other three individuals then sold elephant for ₹27 lakh in Bihar.
