AIADMK chief Edappadi K Palaniswami met Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi and sought a Bharat Ratna for freedom fighter and Thevar community icon Pasumpon Muthuramalinga. The meeting's agenda was to strengthen NDA ahead of the Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu next year. He reportedly requested Shah not to antagonise AIADMK by demanding the return of expelled leaders.
