Erik Menendez, convicted along with his brother Lyle of killing their parents in 1989 in California's Beverly Hills, was denied parole for three years during his first-ever parole hearing on Thursday. The brothers were initially sentenced to life without parole but their terms were reduced in May to 50 years to life. Lyle's parole hearing is scheduled for Friday.
