A multidisciplinary team from Texas A&M Health has found that two forms of estrogen estradiol and estriol could aid in developing therapies for progressive multiple sclerosis (MS). Published in the Journal of Neuroimmunology, the study revealed that both hormones reduced spinal inflammation, with estradiol offering stronger protection to the myelin sheath, for MS treatment research.
