Uttarakhand BJP has sent show-cause notice to former Haridwar MLA Suresh Rathore for marrying Saharanpur-based actress Urmila Sanawar, without divorcing his first wife. Rathore reportedly announced his marriage to Urmila on June 15 in a press conference, after which Congress accused him of violating Uttarakhand UCC, which prohibits polygamy. BJP has given him seven days to explain his conduct.
