Former Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of India (2010-2012), SY Quraishi, described the recent protests that toppled the government in Nepal as a sign of "living, vibrant democracy". Calling his remarks absolutely shocking, BJP's Amit Malviya hit out at his "insipid" tenure as the CEC. "Those who failed their duty then cannot now lecture the nation," Malviya said.
