Ex-Congress MLA Satkar Kaur, who had switched to BJP, was arrested while trying to sell 100 grams of heroin in Punjab's Kharar, officials said. Satkar's associate Jaskeerat, who had gone in a separate vehicle, was also arrested. Jaskeerat accepted ₹2.5 lakh payment for the heroin that Satkar came to deliver. She allegedly hit a witness' car while trying to escape.
