Former OpenAI CTO Mira Murati's startup, Thinking Machines Lab, has raised $2 billion in seed funding led by Andreessen Horowitz, valuing it at $12 billion. Backers include Nvidia, AMD, Accel, and Cisco. Launched in February, the firm aims to build multimodal AI systems and will release its first product soon. Two-thirds of the team includes ex-OpenAI staff.
