Sabarimala's former executive officer Sudheesh Kumar has been arrested in connection with temple gold theft case. He has been accused of concealing that the Dwarapalaka (guardian deity) idols were gold-plated and recording them as copper sheets in the temple's official documents. Kumar had reportedly been associated with Sabarimala since the 1990s. This is the third arrest in the case.
