An ex-student is suing Michigan State University for $100 million (₹876 crore), claiming exposure to chemicals led to her thyroid cancer diagnosis. LingLong Wei, who pursued master's degree in the horticulture program from 2008-2011, had to conduct field research involving application of hazardous pesticides and herbicides. She claimed university didn't provide any remedy for chemical exposure.
