A study published in Journal of the American Heart Association found higher recreational screen time in children and adolescents is linked to increased cardiometabolic risk factors, including high blood pressure and poor cholesterol. The study found the risk is amplified by shorter sleep duration and later bedtimes. Further, the researchers found 10-year-olds were on devices about three hours/day.
