Spanish police have said they believe excessive speed was the likely cause of the car crash that killed Liverpool and Portugal footballer Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva. The police further stated that "all the evidence so far" indicates Jota was driving the vehicle. The accident occurred at 12:30 am local time in Spain’s Zamora on July 2.
