A 28-year-old Virginia ex-state trooper was shot dead by the police after he killed the family of the teenage California girl that he had been catfishing online. Austin Lee Edwards drove to Riverside to meet the girl and allegedly killed her mother and grandparents, before kidnapping her. He was killed after he opened fire on a SWAT team chasing him.
