Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma called the incident "extremely heart-wrenching" after around 20 people died and 16 others were critically injured when a private bus travelling from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur caught fire on Tuesday. CM Sharma stated that "the state government stands with the affected families." Former Rajasthan CM and senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot called the incident "distressing".
