Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the repeated questions about the need to observe June 25, the day when the Emergency was declared in 1975, as 'Samvidhaan Hatya Diwas' or Constitution Murder Day. He said, "If the memory of an event like the Emergency that shook the foundation of democracy fades away from society, it is harmful for the nation."
