A fake resignation letter purported to be that of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has surfaced online amid ongoing tensions between Israel and Iran. The letter was deemed fake by a senior BBC journalist and was also fact-checked and found it inauthentic by AI chatbot Grok. Pezeshkian is the ninth president of Iran and he assumed office in July last year.
