SP chief Akhilesh Yadav responded to the arrest of Umar Ansari, the son of late gangster-turned-politician and five-time MLA from Uttar Pradesh, Mukhtar Ansari, and said, "The BJP government is apprehending people in false cases to divert attention from more important issues such as floods." He added that the government has nothing substantial to put forth as its achievements.
