Aamir Khan revealed Farhan Akhtar was initially locked as main lead for Hindi version of 'Sitaare Zameen Par', and Sivakarthikeyan for Tamil version. Although Aamir was set to act, he didn't go through after 'Laal Singh Chaddha' failed. However, he changed his mind after reading the script. "When I spoke to Farhan and Sivakarthik, they were very supportive," he said.
