Total 283 stubble burning incidents were reported across Punjab on Tuesday, taking the total count to 1,216. Officials said farm fire incidents had surged sharply after Diwali. Of the 1,216 total cases, 1,008 - around 82%- had been reported in just the past 12 days (October 18-29). Cracking down on violators, PPCB has registered 90 FIRs since October 25.
