E-commerce platforms in India have seen a 23-25% surge in festive season sales, driven by recent GST reforms. The rate cuts have particularly benefited high-demand categories such as TVs, smartphones, fashion and furniture. According to market research firm Redseer, this year's festive e-commerce sale is expected to generate over ₹1.15 lakh crore in gross merchandise value.
