India’s festive hiring season (August-October) saw a 17% rise, with gig and temporary jobs surging by as much as 25%, a new report stated. The biggest jump came from warehouse and last-mile delivery roles, which reportedly accounted for roughly 60–65% of all new hires. Quick-commerce platforms led this demand, expanding dark-store capacity and rider fleets to meet record order volumes.
