One woman died and 18 others were injured after a fire broke out in a 24-storey residential building in Mumbai on Sunday. The fire erupted at Shanti Nagar's New Janakalyan Society. Preliminary probe indicated that the fire began in the basement due to a faulty wire and then travelled upward through the building's electrical duct.
