Indian Railways has dispatched its first locomotive fitted with the indigenous anti-collision system Kavach from Nagpur's Ajni shed. The SIL-4 certified Automatic Train Protection system prevents overspeeding, signal violations, and collisions through real-time communication and automated braking. After successful testing, Railways plans to install Kavach on 10,000 locomotives.
