Offering to Goddess comprises varieties of fish every day by the royal family at Baikunthapur Rajbari in West Bengal's Jalpaiguri. From Saptami to Dusshera, cooked fish is offered along with rice. Hilsa, Chital, Pabda, Catla, prawns and other kinds of fish are offered to Goddess Durga. On Dashami, ‘Paanta Bhat’ (fermented rice) is served with fried Puti and Hilsa fish.
