Five people are in intensive care after contact with confirmed Nipah virus cases, while 12 are under treatment in Malappuram and four are in isolation in Palakkad. Two new infections were confirmed on July 4, a 38-year-old woman in Palakkad and an 18-year-old woman in Malappuram who died on July 1. A total of 383 contacts are under surveillance.
