Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPIA) Spokesperson said the airport is currently not operational and all flight operations at the airport have been temporarily suspended until further notice after an Air India plane crashed. Notably, 242 people were onboard the plane which crashed near the airport. Relief and rescue efforts are underway at the site of the plane crash.
