Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar criticised the SSC for publishing a list of 1,804 'tainted' candidates involved in a teachers' cash-for-jobs scam. He said, "For the first time, a state government or a body of a state government, SSC, has accepted that they sold the teachers' jobs." Majumdar added that West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee should resign over the alleged corruption.
