Uttarakhand forest department recorded 26 forest fire incidents in the Kumaon region and five in the Garhwal region within 24 hours, affecting 33.34 hectares of land. The flames spread to Nainital's High Court Colony on Friday. The Nainital administration mobilised forest department personnel and army forces to manage the blaze. Three men have been arrested for allegedly starting the fire.
