Former chairman of Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL), Susim Datta has passed away in Mumbai. He was a well-known business leader who reportedly led more than 21 companies during his distinguished professional life. Datta oversaw the landmark Brooke Bond-Lipton tea deal which solidified Hindustan Unilever's dominance in the Indian FMCG sector. His professional journey began with HUL in the 1950s.
