Former India cricketer Anshuman Gaekwad passed away aged 71 on Wednesday after a prolonged battle with blood cancer. He had travelled to London and returned a month back to continue treatment in Baroda. He played 40 Tests and 15 ODIs for India. He served as India head coach from October 1997 to September 1999 and for two months in 2000.
