Former Kerala CM and veteran CPI(M) leader VS Achuthanandan passed away in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday at the age of 101. He was 44 when he was first elected as an MLA and at 82, he became the oldest CM of Kerala. He had been under treatment at SUT Hospital since June 23 after suffering a cardiac arrest.
