The former Speaker of Ukraine's Parliament, Andriy Parubiy, was shot dead in Lviv on Saturday. Officials said the gunman fired several shots at Parubiy and fled. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called it a "horrendous murder", saying, "My condolences to his family and loved ones. All necessary forces and means are engaged in the investigation and search for the killer."
