France will ban smoking in public places including beaches, parks, gardens, bus shelters and schools from Sunday. "Tobacco must disappear from places where there are children," Health Minister Catherine Vautrin had earlier said, emphasising their right to breathe pure air. Those who violate the ban will face a fine of €135 (around ₹13,517).
