France is set to ban smoking in outdoor places that can be frequented by children, like beaches, parks and bus stops, said Health and Family Minister Catherine Vautrin. Freedom to smoke "stops where children's right to breathe clean air starts," she added. The ban will be imposed starting July 1 and violators can be slapped with fine upto 135 euros.
