The German government has accused Elon Musk of trying to influence its federal election after he backed the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party. Musk is free to express his opinion, a government spokesperson said, adding, "After all, freedom of opinion also covers the greatest nonsense." Musk in an opinion piece called AfD the "last spark of hope" for Germany.
