French President Emmanuel Macron gave outgoing PM Sebastien Lecornu till Wednesday to hold cross-party consultations and get support for his government to save it from collapse. Lecornu resigned after the Cabinet he announced was rejected by both allies and opponents. Last year's snap parliamentary elections resulted in no clear majority and Lecornu was Macron's third PM since those elections.
