Leader of Opposition in Karnataka Assembly, R Ashoka, called the Congress's decision to conduct a fresh caste survey in the state an embarrassment and defeat for CM Siddaramaiah and a victory for Deputy CM DK Shivakumar. "We had all opposed this (Kantharaj Commission) report," he said, adding that Siddaramaiah doesn't trust the people of the state and only follows orders.
