Fresh violence erupted in parts of Cuttack on Sunday during a motorcycle rally seeking support for Vishwa Hindu Parishad's bandh call, a day after clashes broke out during a Durga idol immersion procession. When police tried to stop the motorcycle rally, participants clashed with them and allegedly pelted stones, leading to a lathi charge. Several police personnel sustained injuries.
