Germany's conservative opposition leader Friedrich Merz is set to become the Chancellor of Germany after the conservative opposition won the national election. The Alternative for Germany (AfD) emerged as the second-largest party making it the best result for a far-right party since World War II. Merz said he hopes that he will get a coalition government together by Easter.
